What is Private Duty/Skilled Nursing?
At Premier Home Health Care Services, Inc., we provide private duty/skilled nursing care for those with long-term needs or for anyone who is recovering after a recent injury, illness, or surgery. Patients receive care from registered nurses (RNs) or licensed practical nurses (LPNs) when services are ordered by a physician, and their needs go beyond the scope of care available from a certified home health aide. Private duty/skilled nursing is a convenient alternative to traveling to an outpatient center for treatment.
What Does a Private Duty/Skilled Nurse Do?
An at-home nurse manages, observes, treats and evaluates care, and takes the steps necessary to communicate with the prescribing MD in order to prevent an illness or condition from worsening. Premier’s skilled nursing care services include, but are not limited to:

- Pre- and Post-Operative Care
- Routine Monitoring of Vitals
